I am retired from the US Navy in 1981 as e Chief Warrant Officer W4….. then went to work for TRW as a Systems Engineer…. retired from there in
1995 and came back to New Mexico (Home state) and was going to try for a third carer but just couldn’t fill out the resume…. so I ttodf ofo  with
ham radio… I help keep friends on the air… Elmer a few that want it…. and go fishing….. I just installed the tower and Beam in October … that is
asso story in itself…. but it is really fun chasing DX on psk31….. for instance…. the last three days I have heard Philipines, Marshall Islands, and Cambodia but didn’t get to work any of them….. but I did get to work Papua New Guinea….. so I don’t feel too bads..hi hi..
BTU  Rick W9XB DE Dave

4 hours a day…. and hour before and ae eer sunrise …. and hour after sunset….. morning time antenna is pointed towards
Europe….. sunset time towards  n isa..e n I seem to do better towards the west than I do towards the east.W1e but since October I have worked 53 countries…
Some really good ones were South Sandwhich Island in the Faulklandsh…. Papua New Guinea…. China and Taiwan…. so the DX is still out there low suns spots and all of… the signals are weaker…but they are still there…. and PSK gives you about a 10dB advaotage as far as power is concerned… because of
the algorithums in the coding of the software…BTU  Rick W9XB DE Dave WA5DJJ KN
OK Rick… yes… you need to spend some time with the XYL on vacation….. tAc no iand t olcn… l}o is a great

down here from your area….. wx is usually nice enough most of the time….. have a happy new year… hope to see you in my log again….
the Grey line propagate is the way to go….. in a years time you will work 200 countries…… 73…73 73 Rick W9XB DE  Dave  WA5DJJ  Las Cruces, New Mexico - Grid DM62ph SK SK SK    e    73  Rick ….ditb.u.. dit…..

Around 20:00 UTC

George, trying to adjust my ALC here…

Okay, there man that knob is so touchy for some reason today…

Oh no I’ve been there done that … I used to live in a small city lot… NEVER AGAIN… PERIOD, heck I’ll dig a 6 x 6 here so they can just bairy me here in this year, I’ll never ever move back into any kind of housing development, city lot, or anything period… No matter what the YL thinksl… Well it was her idea in the first place for us to move so guess I caznt ever think she’d be moving back in those places ither. We’ve got 5 acres here with plenty of room for my 6 towers so guess can’t complain. have a small contest station setup here with 5 complete stations and enjoy digital/rtty/cw contesting with multi ops its alot more fun when you have friends come over who all enjoy the same aspects of the hobby as myself… have photo’s of the new shack here on the internet… www.k0ru.net … yl and I finished putting the shack together last spring and still slowly setting things up here. Your RST is nice 599 here, no problems at all with the copy. Using a 5 element wire beam right now, its pointing pretty much at you to Europe which is up 50 feet and yes it is a monster, its 5 elements on a 64 foot boom … sure does a wonderful job its been up now for about 2 years. BTU…

K1EPT de K0 active duty myself in the Air Force working in civil engineering. Pretty much doing the samething now days in the civilian world as I was in the military working with emergency standby generators for hospitals and utility companys. Very good on the attic antenna setup, had one myself many years ago when I lived in base housing in the air force, couldn’t put up and outdoor antenna’s so I had a nice multi band antenna configuration in the attic and it served me well for what it was worth.. Of course you know as I that when the sunspots pickup, you can just disconnect that attic antenna and toss a insulated wire out in the lawn and work the world hi hi… Well George, thanks for the call hope you and the family have a wonderful holiday season there. I just got off of work myself here about 2 hours ago anh now I’m on vacation until next year… (sounds wierd hi hi hi))… Yl is out doing some more shopping, probably should have gone with her just to keep tabs on the check book hi hi… Merry Christmas George and Happy New Year Best for you and the family for 2008… 73
